How to Use

  1. Assemble the telescoping intake tube and attach it to the pump housing.

  2. Attach the heater holder if using a heater.

  3. Install the leveling dial to ensure the filter sits level on the aquarium.

  4. Place the filter on the aquarium edge and adjust the leveling dial as needed.

  5. Fill the filter basket with the included foam filter and Matrix™ bio-media, rinsing them under running water before placement.

  6. Ensure the aquarium water level reaches the minimum water level mark on the filter.

  7. Plug in the filter; the self-priming pump will start automatically.

Regular maintenance includes monitoring the maintenance alert device and cleaning the filter media when indicated. The self-cleaning impeller and surface skimmer help reduce the frequency of maintenance tasks.
