Madagascar Lace Plant (Aponogeton madagascariensis)

The Madagascar Lace plant is a truly unique aquarium plant. It gets its name from the skeletonized leaves which make it look like the surface of a fly swatter. This particular species of Aponogeton is a bit more demanding and requires a good amount of maintenance along with quality aquarium lighting to grow well. If given the correct care, Aponogeton madagascariensis will flower frequently in an aquarium and its leaves will grow large and quick.
