Riccia fluitans, also known as Crystalwort, is a cosmopolitan liverwort traditionally used as a floating plant. Popularized by aquascaper Takashi Amano, it can be attached to rocks or driftwood to create lush green carpets. Under optimal conditions with added CO₂, it produces small oxygen bubbles on its leaf tips, enhancing its visual appeal.
